Our patient-centered model offers the highest quality of care for women nationwide. We are currently serving over 50,000 established and in average 600 new patients every month. REQUIREMENTS 

We are looking for a highly motivated GYN specialist that will join our growing team that continuously strives to provide the best evidence based care for women. The ideal candidate should have interest in advanced pelvic procedures, should have or will complete a Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery Fellowship (MIS) and is available to start now or in 2019. We expect the candidate to have strong clinical skills and to be patient centered as well as team oriented.

This position does not require OB call but will require from the candidate to see early pregnancy emergency walk-in at our GYN Emergent Care Center (<5% of all walk-ins).

We are an 80% GYN and 20% OB facility. This position requires OB privileges and taking OB call at the hospital (1 in 7 now, will be less starting this summer) as well as seeing patients with early pregnancy (1-12 weeks) complications that walk-in into our GYN Emergent Care Center (5% of emergency cases are early pregnancy).

General Summary of Duties: Responsible for providing professional nursing care for OB and GYN patients in a traditional office setting and in the emergent care center. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.

Summary of Job Setting: Traditional OB/GYN office and Emergent Care Center with physician back-up and LVN/MA assistance.

GYN Emergency Center Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Coordinates patient care
  • Ensures following of all medical protocols
  • Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Tracks quality assurance data and monitors patient care management.
  • Creates performance reports and improvement recommendations

Medical Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality. Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition. Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions administer prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
  • Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance.
  • Prepares patients for GYN surgeries (Pre-op consult).
  • Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms and automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
  • Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
  • Occasional weekend hours and evening hours are part of the regular 40-hour schedule.

This position is responsible for collections of all patient accounts and insurance claims. Work with supervisor to review problem accounts and identify necessary action to be taken.

Essential skills and abilities:

  • CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding knowledge.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA, coding, and billing guidelines.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.

  • Insurance eligibility verification.
  • Contact patients to update account information.
  • Daily payments posting.
  • Mail sorting and payment posting.
  • Generate weekly statements.
  • Assist Insurance claims process and follow ups.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper collection procedures on all patient accounts.
  • 90 days past due calls to patients.
  • Respond to billing phone calls and questions.
  • Assist practice as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
